Afya Bora is the health and wellness pillar of the Restoring Dignity Foundation in Korogocho, Nairobi. Meaning “Better Health” in Kiswahili, the program is dedicated to improving the physical, emotional, and social well-being of vulnerable residents in informal settlements.
It provides access to healthcare services, organizes medical camps, promotes hygiene and sanitation, and delivers health education to strengthen community resilience. Importantly, Afya Bora also works towards securing medical insurance for marginalized elders and families.
